WOMEN'S GUILD
CHUECH OF ENGLAND MEETING There was a jolly gathering of Church of England Guild members, including Mrs. jr'HkDatson, whom members were pleased to welcome after her long illness. The bring-and-buy stall did good business, articles brought raiiging from plants and seeds to hand-made articles. All were sold. Mrs. E. L. Hyde reported on the reeently held shop day. Rev. J. H. Dqtson congratulated those responsible for their effort. Appreciation was expressed for the wonderful help given by several ladies who were members of other Churches, and it was resolved that. individual letters of appreciation be sent them. It was decided to hold a danco on New Year's Eve. Invitations are being extended to members of the' Presbyterian and Methodist Ladies' Guilds to join the Anglican Guild in a social afternoon on August 7 at 2.30 pm. The yearly quota of £10 was voted to the missions. It was decided to carry on for the present with the voluntary system for the weekly care of the church. Mrs. J. P. Allerby and Miss Allerby volunteered for July and Mesdames LengWard and Chester for August.
