Armed police and a blaek tracker are srounng the Dandenong ranges near -Melbourne for an absconder who is believed to be armed and determined not 1" be taken alive. Tlie man was on bail on tdiarges of plundering houses in the Dandenongs. He made liis will during the week and sent a letter to his inotlier. He is an e.xpert busliman and has been living in a hollow log in the bush. He was oapfured ten days ago after a two months' seareh by the police.
