Questioned "in a frank and friend*y atmosphere," Mr: Nash recognised that the complete prohihition of an article previously imported might cause hardship to the exporter hnt it was difficult tc justify the" admission of imports where New Zealand manufacturers were able to meet the whole of the Dominion demand. * Xo information is available of the iifgoiiaiions regarding bulk purehase cnnnracts.
