Goodwin duringj the ten years that he had been its secretary was given reeognition at the annual meeting of members on Friday night, when he was elected a ! life member. Mr. Goodwin recently, resigned from the position on j account of health reasons. The president, Mr. J. A. Kilsby, i said that when Mr. Goodwin was appointed to the secretaryship ten I 'ye&'hra'g'o hM" health wa's-hot'' the ; best, but he had taken such an interest in the association's affairs that he had suffered from overwork | and a consequeht set-back in health. Last year he had intimated that he wished to retire, but would carry on through the show period. With the reduction in his work on the appointment of a new secre- 1 tary, his health woUld impr'ove. When the association had gone into , recess five years ago, Mr. GoodWin had offered to resign to save it the expense of a secretary, but Was asked to carry on. This he had done, giving Of his best. There had been trying times, but he had in no : way crossed any member or lost aj member through his action. Mr. ' Kilsby then moved that Mr. Good- ! win be made a life member. Mr. H. J.
