Pevsonal Mr. T. D. H. Hall has been appointed as a lay-reader to the parochial district of Paraparaumu. Miss E. Jackson of Foxton, commenced- training on Monday at the Otaki Maternity Hospital. . The death occurred this morning at the Palmerston North Hospital of the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Syd. Edwards. The child, who was 2-b years oid, had been m indifferent health for some time. Miss Hazel Burgess and Miss D. Lightweil, who were recently injured in a car accident, have returned to their homes, the former to Otaki and the latter to Dannevirke. At Monday night's meeting of the Foxton Disrrict High Scjrooi Committee, Mr. J. Thorn, M.P., advised that he had taken over' the electoral duties of Mr. L. G.
