Australian Wool Kealisation Commission. The number of bales apjiraised for the season was 2,8(55,758 i with a tolal weight of 8(5(5,9(51,(181 pounds and an appraised value of £51.480,471. The linal eheque will be the smallest sinee the beginning of Ihe British jnircha.se seheme last year's flgures being £(52,(501,780 for 3,123,107 ? bales. The falliug o(I is due solely to: the loss of sheep as a result of tlie drouglit. Sinee 1042 Australia's sheep population dropped by 20, 188,880 from j a total oi' over £125,300,000. j
