LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

"RESIDENT."

' FOOTPATHS IN LEVIN 4 gir, — I am not- aware whethef 'the recentry-appointed engineer has inspecte'd the footpath in Queenwood Road since his arrival, but if not, I suggest that he take a look at it. It is overgrown with clumps of grass, and anyone walking on the footpath at night would, imagine they were on grass instead of an asphalted footpath. There is another menace in this street, too — an abundant crop of ragwort, which is, of course, a noxious weed. If this ragwort wa? gr owing on a ratepayer's property. he would be liable to prosecution: so why does the Borough Council grow it on the street? I trust the council will take notice of my remarks, and get Queenwood Road cleaned up. Yours etc..

Levin, juiy 6.
