The death occurred yesterday of Miss Polly Hakaraia, who had been in ill-health for some time. The deceased, who was 25 years of age, was well-known - locally, having been born in Otaki. She was the daughter of Mr. Rawiri Hakaraia. Vital Statistics The vital statistics for .Tune were: — Deaths nil, marriage notices 3, births, Maori 4 and European 5. Penguin Fountl A penguin found yesterday on the Otaki beach in an exhausted condition was taken and cared for by a local resident, and is now in a lively mood. Football Danco A meeting of the committee of the Otaki Football Club was held, on Monday night. There were present Messrs. Woolf, Cook, Sievers and Nilsson. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs. Cahill and Kelleher. It was decided to hold a social and dance at Raukawa Hall on July 26. Supper arrangements were left in the hands of Mesdames Cahill and Royah
