RAINFALL FOR OTAKI

^ OVER FOUR INCHES IN JUNE Mr. F. H. Critchley reports that the rainfall in Otaki for June was 4.19 inches, the- highest fall being .83 inches on June 2. Rain fell on flfteen days. There were twelve frosts, six being heavy. Snow fell on the ranges on six occasions, while there was an electrical storm on June 11. There were flfteen days of cairn at' 9 a.m. The cold weatherwas consistent, at the beginning of the month, lasting three days, after which the weather becaine mnder. For June, 1945 there was only 1.87 inches of rain.
