FUNERAL OF THE LATE MR. D. H. WEAVER

i The funeral of the late Mr. D. H. Weaver yesterday was largely attended by many friends and relatives of -the deceased gentleman, as iwell as boys from the Boys' Training Centre, Weraroa; and members , of the Levin Municipal Band. j The services at the ho.use and graveside were conducted - by the Rev. A. Salmond. As the casket ' was borne to the graveside the Iband, under the leadership of Mr. G. R. Lester, played "Old Earth," and at the conclusion of the service the hymn "Rochdale," after which the bandsmen filed past- the igrave to pay their last respects tq 'the memory of their esteemed felj low-bandsman. A guard of honour jwas formed from the cemetery I gates to the graveside by the iTraining- Centre boys, who also provided the pall-bearers at the | cemetery. It was fitting testimony ito the popularity of the late Mr. [Weaver during his long association Iwith the institution as a member j of its staff . At the house the casket iwas borne by Messrs. Lester, Hayfteld, Robinson, Fielding, Pickering jand Sims. j A large number of wreaths were evidence of the hig;h regard in which the late Mr. ' Weaver was held.
