NELSON, June 27. Patrick Wilfred Hardy, aged 18 years, single, arrested at 5.25 this | afternoon and charged with the murder j of Miss Rangi Tai Otimi, a young Maori I wpman, aged 21 years, in Queen's G-ar-dens on the night of Thursday, June 20. The arrest was made hy DetectiveSergeants J. J, Murray and N. J. McPhee. Aceused will appear in the Magistrate's Court tomorrow" morning when an applicatipn will he made for a remand to Wellington -on a date yet to he fixed. Later he will be remanded to Nelson where the case will he> heard. Hardy was a waiter at a Nelson cafe.
