ANGLICAN CUSTOMS

TALK BY MRS. M. E. J. WALLIS A most enjoyable afternoon was spent recently in Otaki, when a large number of men and women assembled at the All Saints' Church to hear an instructive talk frorn Mrs. M. E. J. Wallis, on some customs in the worship of the Church of England. * Mrs. Wallis was introduced by the Vicar (Canon Fry), who also gave a talk on the All Saints' Church. After her talk, Mrs. Wallis was presented with flowers, and "answered questions arising from it. A social half-hour was held after in the church hall, and a further welcome extended to Mrs. Wallis by Miss Holmes, president cf the guild. Musical items were given by Mrs-. H. Tews and Miss Avery. Tea was served by guild members. and the afternoon close d with the singing of the National Anthem. It is hoped that Mrs. Wallis will make a return visit.
