WELLINGTON, June 26. Tlie New Zealand Bowling Counci executive lias ])een requested to formulate a sclieme and report to the nex-t annual niecting, wliereby a permanent secretary with oifices would be appointed to deal witli all general business of the association, keep all records and banlc accounts, and give general information to the tournament- committee, and whereby a tournament committee with a secretary and offices in the centre where the tournament is held each year, would he appointed, the tournament committee to eonduct the tournament as directed- by the council at its annual meeting. The motion was moved by Alr. A. Dic'kson, Christchurch, and seconded by Mr. Al. J. Casey, Wellington, the latter remarking that a similar proposal by Wellington previously had been unsupr ported. During the discussion it was argued that the annual shifting- of records and the appointment of a new secretary, tended to inelficiency and loss of records. It was explained that the principle officers of the Associatioi. w.ouhl continue to be nominated by the Centre in which the tournamyn-t was to be lield.
