MEETING OF EXECUTIVE A meeting of the Horowhenua [Rugby Union's management com- ' ! mittee was held in Levin last night. ! ! Mr. A. G-illespie presided and also present were Messrs. J. A. Zuppicich ; (secretary) , J. D. MacFarlane, W. ONeas, E. Cook, T. Winiata, R. L. Robinson, F. Carrington, H. Wylie, ' V. J. Bateman, D. "Cole and *H. ' Robson. Mr. R; Sands was appointed manager and Mr. D. Cole assistant 1 manager of the representative tea.m ; to play at Palmerston North on July 6. Transport arrangements for the team. were left in the hands of ; the secretary. A letter of thanks was received •' from the St. John Ambulanc.e . Brigade, Levin, for the donation ! made by the union. Mr. Neas reported that all schools ; in the district had now been pro- ■ vfded with footballs. Horowhenua College was granted ; permission to play mid-week ; matches.
