PRICES SHOW FIRMING TENBENCY There was a smaller yarding -• of dreep yesterday at the Levin weekly sto.ck sale. Fat sheep showed an increase in price, due mainly to better quality being offered. Smaller entries of lambs were experisnced and there was a very firm -.ale of go,od .quality lambs. Store sheep were in short supply. A fairi vardiing of fat cattle came forward, with some very choic.e P.A. heifers, and they sold well. Ex-dairy cows were penned in smaller numbers and in consequence good priqes were obtained. Dairy cattle. were in short supply and whai was entered was not of a very good quality. There was a good sale for pigs, ahd the pork prices were the highest for tbe season. In spite o-f ahverse weather conditions there was practicaliy a total clearance, and prices were in advance of late saies.
