DEATH OF SCIENTIST
Received Sundav, 7 p.m. MELBOURNE, June 23. Professor T. II. Labv, aged 06, world famous seientist,- 'te'aeher and research worker, died in hospital after a long illness. He pioneered atomic research in Australia and specialised in nuclear physics. His m'ost speetacular achievejment was the successful photographing I of the atom with equipnient he design- j | ed himself. He also specialised in ; radio and cancer research and, with Sir i Douglas Mawson, discovered radium in i mineral form in Neiv South Wales and ; Western Australia. For 30 veavs he I occupied the chair of natural history at Melbourne ITniversity.
