OUT OF LEBANON AHEAD OF SCHEDULE
.Received Sunday, 7.30 p.m. LOXDOX, June 23. British headquarters at Beirut has announced that the evacuation of British troops from Lebanon is proceeding ahead of schedule, which has been planned to ensure that Lebanon is cleared before the end of the month. Onlv 1500 troops remain, 7000 having left since March. British headquarters will be closed on June 30, but a small group of about 170 of all ranks will remain finally to liquidato -British interests.
