WELCOME HOME
RETURNED COLLEGE OLD BOYS A general meeting of the Horowhenua College Old Pupils' Association was held at the College recently. Although the attendance was only fair, there were old pupils from Shannon, Manakau, and Wellington present.- Mr. M. Staples presided. Apologies were received from Miss Browning and Alan Walker. The chairman explained that the purpose of the meeting -was to ensure that the re-union ball and welcome home to returned old boys would be a success. It was decided to hold this on September 6 in the college assembly hall. Two sub-committees were thus formed for arranging the suppe'r and decorations. The admission would be 4s single and 7s 6d double. Free buses will run from Otaki and Shannon. Printed invitatiops will be sent to returned old boys who send their names to the secretary (Miss G. France), before July 31.
