He managed to tear off his shirt, but could not get his trousers off over his boots. Ambulanee men rushed him to Sydney, and he was admitted to hospital with extremely bad burns fco legs, arms, back and chest. Doctors immediately injected sulpha and penicillin drugs. ■ For two weeks* he was fed by intravenous injections of glucose and saline. Little hope was held for his recovery. But his condition gradually improved. Doctors are hopeful that Clark will be almost 100 per cent. v/hen he leaves hospital.
