A New Zealand war bride living in San Francisco states that the cost of the home which her American husband is having built is 10,000 dollars (approxirnately £3000. It will be a five-roomed residence of average standard. "This is much less pretentious than the dwelling we could ereet at that -figure in New Zealand," she says.
