OTAKI'S RAINFALL
MAY WAS A MILD MONTH Mr. F. H. Critchley reports that xir Otaki for the month of May the rainfall was 3.96 inches as against 5.04 inches for May of last year. j-iast month rain fell on fourteen days, the highest fall being 1.47 mches on May. .8,. There was snow on the ranges. on one occasion ana Jiree light frosts on the last 'thfee days of the. month. There was cairn at 9 a.m. on seventenn days. It was- a very miid month, and eariy pium and apple blossom wert noticeable. Fruit ' had formed on lie early Gravenstein trees.
