W.F.T.U. affiliates. The W.F.T.U. had ^ approximately 70,000,000 members. The W.F.T.U. executive council is meeting at Moscow on June 16 and pre- ; sumably the strike wottld be placed on the council 's agenda j The American Associated Press says ' that, instructed by President Truman, ! Mr. Porrestal, *secretary of the Navy, j has started organising the Navy to I break the threatened maritime strike. ; Ali stations have been ordered to report within 24 hours, the numbers of ofhcers ; and men experienced in handling and stowing cargo. j A second order has instructed shore | stations to accept for active service all | reservists volunteering.
