PIG VALUES INCREASE There was a good yarding of sheep and fat cattle at the Levin, weekly sto.ck sale yesterday. Dairy entries were light and there was a short supply of pigs resulting in a sharp increase in realisations. Wethers and ewes advanced s-light-ly. Cattle prices were good throughout. Following is a range of prices: — Sheep: Light fat wethers, 32s to 33s Id; heavier, 34s ld: light fat ewes, 21s to 22s lOd; heavier, 24s ld to 26s lOd; prime, 27s 4d; light fat lambs, 20s to 21s: heavier, 24s to 26s 6d; prime, 27s 4d to 29s 7d; extra prime, 33s lOd; store b.f. lambs,- 17s 2d. Cattle : Light veal, £2 2s 6d to £2 17s 6d; heavier, £4 7s 6d to £5 12s 6d; prime, £6 2s 6d to £6 10s; fat P.A. heifers, £10 12s 6d to £11 17s 6d; fat P.A. cows, £9 to £10; light steers, £12 2s 6d to £12 7S 6d; fat ex-dairy cows, £5 to £5 7s 6d; calved [heifers, £12 10s to £14; springing | heifers (medium quality) , £7 10s to j£8 10s; dairy cows, July-August jcalvers, £7 10s to £8 15s; weaner heifers, £3 10s, £4 15s to £5 2s 6d; jboner cows, £2, £3 10s, £4 7s 6d to j £5 5s. 1 Pigs: Weaner pigs, 12s 6d, 15s to ! 17s 6d; medium stores, 22s 6d to 27s i6d; heavier, 30s to 32s 6d; light I pork-ers. £2 to £2 15s; heavier, £3 to |£4 5s; light baconers, £4 to £4 19s; (heavier, £2 5s to £2 17s; choppers, ! £3 15s to £6.
