AUCKLAND, .June 1. Although phosphate shipments from Ocean and Nauru Islands are to be resumed in July,- it is expected that the svstem of aliocating supplies of farm fertiliser will be continued in the new rationing year which begins on July 1. The supply situation is under investigntion in Wellington and an outline of the allocation proposals for 1946-47 is expected to be made shortlv by the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Eoberts. In addition to shipments of pliosphates for Ocean and Nauru Islands which will supplement those received during the past year from Makatea Island, negotiations have been in progress for the shipment of a large quantity of basic slag from Europe. In 4 the aggregate, tliese supplies will ease the fertiliser shortage, but authorities CQnsider that it may be two o>r three years before superphospliate iu particular is available iu the fully required quantities. .
