SUSPENSION OF P. SPRATT
WELLINGTON, May 31. : Tlie jockey P. Spratt appeared before the appeal judges Messrs J. R.'L. Stanford, F. F. Newman and P. A. 0 'Neill in Wellington today,- to appeal against the decision of the Wellington Distrfct Committee which suspended hom for two months on a charge of interfering while riding Colopier in the Mokai Handicap at Wairarapa on Easter Monday. Spratt was represented by Mr. W. E. Leicestcr. After hearing further evidence, the appeal was dismissed and the jockey forfeited his deposit.
