Greenslade, a Dunedin surgeon, wheu speakiug at a meeting toniglit of the Otago Acclimatisation Society. When expressiug the opinion that the Society should liave talceu a stronger sfjtnd during its negotiations some time ago 'M'jth the Department of Internal AJTairs Oi'er the Lakes acclimatisation district, Mr. Greenslade eompared the society 's posifton with that of the British Medical Association. "During the Huntly by-clcetidn one Minister of the Crown said he was goiag to fix the doctors," Mr. Greenslade said, "but as it happens they are not going to fix tlie doctors. In view of the proximity of tlie Eloction it is being dropped and a Royal Conmiission is to be set up to go into the question of medical practice iu New Zealand."
