Donegal Bay (Aitken) cleared out froiu Broderie (Eout) over the coiicluding stages of a niile and beat her by eight Jengths to register 1.59 2-5, the lirst three furlongs taking 45seo. , Donegal Bay is engaged in the Connolly Handicap at Wanganui and she gives the impression that a niiddle distance will not trouble her. Czarina (Aitken) hit out pleasingly over six furlongs in 1.26 2-5. The Oordnacli lilly lias benelited by her recent racing and should be in good order for Wanganui. Jumpiiig away froin the seven-furlong barrier, Bileas (Amey) and iSwift Jay (Bowness) liuished on terms in 1.38 3-5. Both were doing it well, and the time was not bettered duriug the morning. Eoto Parera (Andrews) had the measure of Man's Pride (Christensen) at the conclusion of a round, the last live furlongs occuiP'itig 1.16. Authoress (Baunders) worlied over a round, but was not required to do better than 15 to the furlong. She looks in good trim for her engagement in the Napier Uteeplechase on Saturday. Gold Money Song (Andrews) gave his usual proficiout display while schoolmg over six nurdles. In a siniilar task, Colden Tide (Andrews) was inclined to junip big, but she had little pace. Blanket (Fagan) was sent over six liurdles in the shute and cleared theni without mistake.
