A settlement of the 43 day coal strike within 48 hours, is forecast in Wasliington as Secretary for the Interior, Mr. Krug, announced some progress had been made aftgi' conferences throughout the dgy with Mr. J. L. Lewis. It is reported several controversial points are still to be adjusted but that President Truman 's imminent labour restrictions speeded up spttlement prospects.
