i j Advice was received in Palmerston North yesterday afternoon that the major prize of £10,000 in an overseas consnltation had heen won hy Mr. Harold William Igglesden, a farmer, of Tiakitahuna. Mr. Igglesden learned unexpectedly of his good fortune. He had come to the city last evening j to attend a cinema, hut he first visited some friends. They casually mentioned that a ticket with the nom-de- , plume of "Woodpecker" had won the consultation. Mr. Igglesden recognised it as that under which he purcliased a ticket, and made haste to check the winning niunher against that on his ticket. They corresponaed. The lucky man later continned with his "proposed routine and visited ! the cinema.
