AGITATORS DISGUST HIM

AUCKLAND, May 27. "I am beeoming more and more disgusted with agitators,' ' said the Mayor (>Mr. J. A. C. Alluni), at a Mayoral reception to retur.ned servicemen and brides in the Town Hall. "If there is wrong let us set it right but let us have peaee.'* Mr. Allum said it seemed strange that 12 months after the eessation of hostilities in Europe, there should still be welcomes to men who served there. However, after six years of war it could hardly be expeeted that things would return to normal at once. "You may share my disappointment that things are not settling down as quickly as they should," he eontinued. "I wish that 12 months after the close of hostilities we could have had peace but unfortunately we have not. The best thing- we ean do is to be at peace with each other."
