There at'e aboul 1,000,000 ehildfen in Swi tzerlantl, and, as a gesture to siarving Hurope, tfte Pederal Gouncil decided to help to feed the same liuml;er of children in Germnny, Austria and ! llungary for six weeks. The Federal Gouncil allocated 10,600 tons of food, tnaiilly sugar, chocolate, , ( ondonsed inilk, vegetables, fats and tinned meats for the pfogranime and plaeed a eredit of £900,000 at tlie disposal of the felief organisation. Speeial delegates wiJl kecp a rigorous watch so that none of the food disappears to the black market. Most of the goods are goibg to the British Zone in Germany.
