CnBTSTCHUECH, Mav 24. The Postmaster-General, Hon. F. •Tones, said today that he regretted to announce the loss of a considerablo quantity of mail for the "J" Force. An oil leak Avliich developed in the pori inotor of an R.N.Z.A.E. plane carrying mail matter from New Zealand to Japan, necessitated the bulk of the mail being jettisoned, only four bags' of parcels being sa-ved out of the seventv two bags of letters and parcels aboard the plane. The mai.ls lost. comprised all letters for personnel of the "J" Force posted in New Zealand during the week ended May 7, and also a large portion of parcel postings for the same period. One bag of newspapers was also incltu'b ed in the mail lost.
