WELL-BRED TWO-YEAR-OLD

The two-year-old colt, Lord Holland, Avlio is. trained at Trentham by A. Goodman for Mrs. J. McMillan, of Palmerston North, is developiug nicely and showing proinise iu his work, and is expected to make his iirst appearance at the Wellington July meeting. Lord Holland was sold at Trentham as a yearling for 600 guineas, and is a black colt by Charles Fox from Blandsong, a half-sister by Blandford to Battle Song, which stood at Inglewood stud until his sale to Australia. Blandsong was purchased by the Alton Lodge stud for 2350 guineas at the dispersal sale of Mr. Sol Ureen's stud in Victoria, and Lord Holland waa then a foal at foot.
