WHANGAREI, May 22. Mrs. Alinie Telfer died yestei'rlay at the age of 102,. She was liorn in Queen Street, Auckland, two years after her parents' arrival from Greenock, Scotland, Married in 1.804 to John Telfer, she and her husband took up' busli land on the Whangarei harbour. There are 119 deseendants. Only two.have died of natural eauses. The only other deceased members of this exceptionally long-lived family were three grundsons, one killed in the first world war, another killed in the last war, and a third killed in the Australian busli. Mrs. Telfer had twejve children — six girls and six boys. The eldest is 81 and the youngest 64.
