Tho Durango 's captain obligingly niorsed a message of respects, a welcome and goo.d wishes, to the oncoming Ruahine on behalf of the full complement of New Zealand pnssengers iucluding the Science delegation (Sir Theodore Rig'g, Professors Hercus and Soper), the eight members of the Press delegation and also various members of the services headed by Air ('onnnodore Buckley and tlie riehly decorated Squadron T.eader Thiele. All the Durango 's- boatdecks were fitted with megaphones and the passengers sang the Maori Battalion j song and shouted the General 's uame. j General Preyberg, from the hridge of the Ruahine, waved acknowledgements and replied with n cordial Marconigram immediately.
