Claiming that the dairy industry provided about one-third of the meat production of the Dominion, the annual conference of the Auckland province of the Farmers' Union, which opened yestdrday. decided to urge that the industry should be proportionately represented on the Meat Board: It maintained that two of the five members should be from the dairy industry, instead of one nomina^ed by the Dairy Board, as at present.
