WELCOME HOME

A welcome home was extendcd to Mr. A. Robinson, who has recently returned from overseas service, in the Druids' Hall on Thursday evening. Mr. S. W. Barber, president of the Shannon branch of the R.S.A., expressed pleasure to have the opportunity of welcoming back to Shannon one of the town's young soldiers. The Mayor (Mr. R. E. Downes) , on behalf of the citizens of Shannon, said he was happy to see Mr. Robinson back and wished him every success in his future life. Mrs. C. Guerin, president of the women's section of the R.S.A., and Mrs. J. A. Easton, on behalf of the Women's Institute, both wished Mr. Robinson and his wife a very happy future in Shannon.
