The House Immigra.tion Sub-committee recommended a Bill authorising servicemen to bring bona fide fiancees as tliree months teniporary visitors. If affec tions cooi during that period, the fiancee will be deported. A bond of 250 to 500 dollars must be deposited to cover thecc«st of possible deportation.The chairraan of the sub-committee estimated that 4000 girls from New Zealand and A.ustralia would clamour for entry to United States if the Bill passed. Immigration from each coirntry is at preseat restricted to 100 persons yearly.
