NOISE AT VALEDICTORY SOC1AL Sir, On Thursday night I attended a public farewell to Mr. and Mrs. Bchrens and Sister Willis. There was a large attendancc and during the many speeches tliat were made there was a considerable amount of noise coming from the entrance to the hall. It was almost impossible to hear the speakers from where I was sitting. It was the most disgraceful show of ignorance I have ever listened to. It is high time that there was something done to stop this sort of thing. The local poliee should be asked to attend such meetings wherevcr possible. .Yniirs etc...
