Flag 500 Winners Winners of the flag 500 tournament conducted by the women's section of the R.S.A. on Monday evening were Mesdames Radford and Third and Messrs. R. Tiller and R. Harding. Shannon Boy's Success In the second day of the Manawatu Competi'tion Society's annual festival, at present being held at Palmerston North, Trevor Miers, of Shannon, was successful in obtaining third place with 75 points in the humorous recitation for boys under- 12. years. Golf Tournament At a special meeting of the Buckley Golr Club, held on Tuesday evening, arrangements were made for the club's King's Birthday tournament. ' After a discussion, trophies were decided upon and invitations sent to the Mangaore, Oroua Downs, Levin and Taihape Clubs to attend.
