JOCKEY SUSPENDED FOR TWO MONTHS
Tlie Wellington District Comniittee allowed the appeal of S. L. Jackson, deputy stipendiary steward, against tlie decision of the judicial comniittee of the Wairarapa Eacing Glub, whicli decided to take 110 action on U10 eharge brought against P. Spratt, rider of Colopier iu the Mokai I-Iack Handicap run at Tauherenikau 011 Easter Saturday. The district comniittee suspended Sjiratt for fwo months. A eharge of causing int erference which resulted in Haere ITuku losing his place soon after the slarl of Ihe race, was preferred against, Spratt, it being alleged lie was responsililc for crowding but. the Wairarapa st.ewards dismissed tlie eharge. Spratt liolds a trainer's licence and this also is alfected during the currency of the suspc-nsion.
