Horowhenua College wrote nom- ' mating Mr. j. D. MCFarlane as chird grade sefector. -Athletic had previously nominated Mr. H. Boul:on and Foxton Mr. C. Carmont. rhe committee decided that Mr. BOulton be appointed. No further nomination fOr jun- : ior sefector had beeh received other than that of Mr. C, Anderson, of Foxton, by the Foxton Club. In : consequence Mr. Anderson was 1 appointed junior selector f.or tcams in the northern division of the 3hampionship, but it was felt that Dwing to the large extent of the district there should be a separate selector for the. southern division. Accordingly, Mr. A. Woolf, of Otaki, vas appointed subject to his approval. Injured Players In reply to a question by Mr. Carrington, Mr. Zuppicich said that a player injured in a match had to be absent from work for eight days before he could claim compensation from the union. Theiv appeared to be some misconcepfcion among clubs as to the procedure to be adopted. An injured player had to have a note fr'om his club secretary or the union secte-i fcary before attending a doCtor. j After receiving medical attention it! was necessary for the player to: obtain a certificate from the doctor and a clearance when he was • fit again. No player could again play football. until that clearance had been obtained.
