WOMEN'S DIVISION

MANAWATU PROVINCIAL The quarterly meeting of the W.D.F.U. Manawatu provincial executive, which preceded the annual meeting, was held last week in Levin, all branehes being repfesented. A very comprehensive report was given of the recent' Dominibn executive meeting ih Wellington. The purchase of permaneiit W.D. head^uart'ers being the niaih object for the divisidn's tWerity-firSt birthday, all brahches wbre asked to contribute at least £10 towards the bost. Mrs. Baftholoinew, housekeeper secretary, reported that two housekeeping positions and one mothjer's help ha'd been filled Sihbe the iaSt meeting. The rest hoine report, givbn by MrS. S. W. Barber,.showed that the home, "Kaianga Moe" was fully booked up for May and at present . contained nine guests. Tlie garden was in good Order and plenty of vegetables were in for the Winter.

Mrs. W. H. Elliott, Dominion president, is to visit Levin on Maj 23, at 2 p.m., in the Century Hall The hope was voiced that as manj members as possible would attend The inter -provincial conferehct will be held in the P.D.C., rooms: Palmerston North-, on May 31After the luncheon adjourned the annual meeting was held, all offi'cials being returned to office.
