WHAT WAR COST AUSTRALIA IN DEAD
Received Wednesdav, Midriight. CANBERRA, May 8. Revision up to February 28, of 'the Australian service easualties on all fronts, gives the total killed as 31,123. This is 2370 more than shown by the previous revision to October last year. The increase is largely the result of the transfer from the numbers shown as missing and p.o.w. 's not aecounted for, to the total shown as killed. The total Australian easualties in the war against Germany and hef ivestern allies were 30,560 and in the war against .Tapan 59,363.
