WEEKLY SALE IN LEVIN There was one of the largest yardings of fat sheep witnessed for some years at the Levin weekly ; stock sale yes'cerday. Stores: Cows, 1 at £2, ; 1 at*£2 7s 6d, 1 at £3 17s 6d, 1 at £4, 2 at £4 5s, 1 at £4 12s 6d to 2 at £4 16s; heifers, 2 at £2 2s 6d, 1 T.w.b. at £4 5s to 1 r.w.b. £6 16s, 2 weaners at ;£2 10s, 2 at £4 12s 6d, liine weaners at £5 12s; 1 bull at £4 10s, 1 Jersey buli at £5 15s to 1 P.A. bull at £6 5s. Fat cattle: Veaiers, 7 at £2 7s 6d, 9 at £2 17s 6d, 3 at £3 12s 6d, 8 at £4 2s 6d to 3 at £4 17s 6d; heifers, 1 at £6 12s 6d, 1 at £8 17s 6d to 1 at £10 2s 6d; cows, 1 at £4 7s 6d, 3 at £6 7s 6d, 1 at £6 L ts 6d, 1 at £7 7s 6d, 1 at £8 17s 6d, 1 at £11 12s 6d to 1 at £11 17s 6d; 1 runner at £6 2s 6d; 1 ox at £14 17s 6d. Pigs The yarding was not as large as usual, but prices geneaally were up to par. Tne following are some prices: — Light porkers, 6 at £2 6s, 2 at £2 16s, 4 at £2 19s to 5 at £3 10s; baconers, 3 at £3 14s, 14 at £3 16s, 4 at £3 17s, 3 at £3 18s, 2 at £3 19, 2 at £4, 3 at £4 3s to 3 at £5; stores, 4 at 16s, 7 at 22s to 10 at 30s. Sheep There was the largest yarding of fat sheep seen for,some years. Following are some of the realisations: — Fats, Lambs, 10 at 20s lOd, 31 mt 23s 4d, 52 at 24s lOd, 30 at 27s 7d, 23 at 28s, 1 at 29s lOd, 9 at 30s lOd, 94 at 31s 4d to 1 at 31s lOd; ewes, 1 at 17s, 17 at 17s ld, 30 at 18s 4d, 4 at 18s Yd, 40 at 18s lOd, 36 at 23s 4d, to 1 at- 25s 4d; wethers, 40 at 31s 4d, 64 at 31s lOd, 65 at 32s 7d, 60 at 34s ld, 60 at 34s lOd, to 5 at 40s lOd. Stores: Ewe lambs, 61 at 7s ld, 91 at 11s, 93 at 19s and 29s; wether lambs at 4s.
