Dx'iven almost to despair, Auckland fiancecs of Aniericaix servicemen who have waited many months^for passages to the United States, have _ gone to every extremity to joxn their future husbands, their campaign being led by the Ameriean Fiancees' Club which has a membership of about 60. The disheartened Fiancees' Club has written the Priine IMinister (Mr. Fraser), Mrs. Iioosevelt, the War Veterans' Association, the president of the Matson Navigation Companv, and the War Sliipping Administration, while two cablegranxs have been sent to President Truman. No replies lxave been received but the fiancees are still hopefixl.
