WOMEN'S GUILD

MEETING AND DANCE Mrs. E. L. Hyde presided over:. a large gathering of members of the Church of England Women's Guild at the Parish Hall on Wednesday afternoon. An invitation was received from the Presbyterian Church to attend their Women's Guild meeting on June 5. The invitation was accepted, and it was decided that members should meet at 2 p.m.'and proceed to the Presbyterian Church meeting together. A bring-and-buy stall did very brisk .business and every thing was sold. It was decided that the annuai bazaar would be held in November and a large number of articles are being received for this sale of work. Hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames A. Thomson and R. Collins. A competition held during- the afternoon was won by Mrs. E. Chester. On Thursday evening the guild held another of its delightful dances in the Parish Hall, which was well filled. for the occasion. Competition dances were -won by Miss F: Peni and Mr. Ropahama and by Miss Ward and Mr. A. Smitli. The hostesses were Mesdames Parr, Hyde, Munford and Chester", who provided an enjoyable supper. Music for the dancing was supplied by the local orchestra.
