MAY PLAY FOR AUCKLAND VARSITY
Dr. IVr. N. Paewai, one of Ihe mnst Jiseussed Rugbv plavers in New Zenland last vear, will not be seen in act- j ino in Auckland over tlie earlv part of ■ this •football season. He will be awav in the East Coast for a month or six J wooks but he intends turning out on his 1 return to Auckland. Last season Pae-v| wai plaved for the Aotea hiaori team, which did not fare too well in the sen- 1 ior division. This season. however, he j hones to link up again with .T'ni versity, which is roported to have the foundations of a powerful side. After being dropped from the Auckland representative fifteen last vear in. favour of P. Tetzlaff, the North Island selectors caused a major surprise bv iric.luding Paewai in the North team in preferenee to Tetzlaff. Earlv in the inter-Tsland game, Paewai Teceived slight concussion and was not seen at his bost.
