CLASHES BETWEEN HINDUS AND UNTOUCKABLES

Reeeived Monday, -1,1.15 a.m. NEW DELHI, May 5. Strong police reinforcements were rushed to Nagpur after night-long clashes between Caste Hindus and Untouchables. There was widespread stone-throwing and at least six houses were set on fire. Millworkers this morning were still restive, and police are stationed at possible trouble points. Tension between the two communities has been smouldering since the recent provincial election. o
