OTAKI-TE HORO BRANCH • The annual general meeting of the Otaki— Te Horo branch of Federated Farmers was held last week, when the following officers -were! elected: — Chairman: Mr. V. J.| Cottle; vice-cliairman: Mr. C. C.| Holmes; executive committee: I r:essrs. A. S. Blackburne, K. F. ! Spiers, E. Jensen and two to bej appointed by the commercial gardeners; delegates to provincial! conference: Messrs. V. J. Cottle, C. C. Holmes, K. F. Spiers and E. T. Bartosh; delegate to the action committee: Mr. W. J. Galloway. The appointment of the secretary was left to the executive committee. Officers elected to the produce ' sections were: — Meat and wooi chairman: Mr. C. C. Holmes; dairy chairman: Mr. K. F. Spiers; secretary: Mr. A. E. Bennett. A number of contributions to the federation's defence fund were handed in during the evening. The branch chairman, Mr. V. J. Cottle, gave an interesting resume , of the business of the federation since its inauguration.
